CAREER PATHING: TOOLS TO BUILD YOUR CAREER

The world of work is undergoing a drastic change, and many sectors are finding ways to compete in the global market. The change is driven by developments that vary according to talent structure and work, adopt technological innovation, and meet globalization demands. It necessitates employers and employees to adjust to the new environment and prioritized flexibility and adaptability but still giving importance to job security employment, structured environments, and standardized roles and responsibilities.

Samar State University values career planning as it gives the students direction and sees their career future. It will make the students aware of their strengths and weaknesses and the skills and knowledge required to achieve their goals in the future and meet the needs of the industry. The institution supports the importance of training students to develop career planning tools for them to be helped to establish a path where they can obtain a job and guiding the necessary learnings and experiential opportunity.

As a university that supports the career and development of the students, the Student Welfare and Development Services of this university, through its Career and Placement Services and PESO, will be conducting a webinar on June 30, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. entitled CAREER PATHING: TOOLS TO BUILD YOUR CAREER with Dr. Rhea Lina J. Saavedra, RGC, LPT of University of the Philippines Visayas Tacloban College.

Through this activity, students may be helped to manage the direction of their career, the job skills and knowledge they may need, and how they can secure their dream job. Further, it allows the students to see their potential as students and eventually see this as an opportunity for growth.

The said activity will be streamed via Zoom and FB live in SSU – Student Welfare and Development Services FB page and is open to both SSU and NON-SSU participants.
